Ayurvedic Allergy Care
Allergy
Ayurvedic support for immune sensitivity, food and environmental allergies, asthma, eczema, hay fever, digestive imbalance, and long-term Ojus strengthening.
Definition
Allergy is an immune response or reaction to substances that are usually not harmful. It is also called atopy and may occur as an adverse reaction to a particular food or substance. Common allergens include pollen, house dust mites, mould, and pets.
Ayurvedic View
In Ayurveda, the body is seen as the end product of what we eat and how we live. Good digestion produces Ojus, the essence that supports immunity. Ayurveda believes allergens are not the primary cause; the accumulation of Ama prevents normal immune functioning and causes over-reaction in the body.
Symptoms
Allergic reactions may appear as respiratory, skin, or food-related disorders. Examples include asthma, eczema, and hay fever. Symptoms may be triggered when the body remembers previous exposure to an allergen and releases chemicals that lead to an allergic reaction.
Why Ayurveda?
Ayurveda focuses on boosting digestive fire, detoxification, strengthening the immune system, stress management, Vata balance, Ojus support, and preventing Ama accumulation that makes the body hyper-responsive to harmless substances.
